These stainless steel plates are designed to repair damaged side tab attachment points for the Subaru SF (1997-2002) Forester rear bumper. It is common for the rear bumper tabs that hold the rivet head on the black bracket shown in the photos to rip off the bumper. These plates repair the bumper tabs to reuse the OEM black bracket rivet so that the rear bumper can be reinstalled again.
Each order will come with 2x Repair plates for both sides of the rear bumper and 4x rivets.
To install, line up the repair plates on the rear bumper as shown in the photos and drill 2 holes for rivets to go into.
For a more secure fit, sand down & clean surfaces on the damaged bumper tabs and apply glue between the plates and bumper tabs before riveting in the repair plates.
Recommended adhesive: JB Weld Plastic Bonder 25mL Black 50139.
